Republic Day celebrated at JU's Bhadarwah campus

BHADARWAH: Like other parts of the country, the 70th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotism at Bhaderwah Campus of Jammu University.

On behalf of Rector, External Relations Officer Bhaderwah Campus Arif Haleem Khateeb unfurled the tricolour.

Members of civil society, Panchayat members, people from Village Sungli, students from various departments, both teaching and non-teaching staff were present on the occasion.

While congratulating the gathering on behalf of Rector Bhaderwah Campus Prof. Anil Kumar Raina, ERO said that the Constitution of independent India came into existence on this day in the year 1950 which provides equal fundamental rights to every citizen of the country irrespective of any caste, creed, colour or religion.

He said as a responsible citizen, every stakeholder should contribute in the developmental drive. "Menace like poverty, violence, crime, terrorism, corruption etc shall be dealt with iron hands to make the society worth living," he added.
