State Kabaddi team leaves for Nationals

JAMMU: Under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Kabaddi Association, the State team today left for participation in the 66th Senior National Championship to be held at Raigarh in Maharashtra from January 28 to January 31.

Before their departure, the team members presented with the sports kits by president of the Association, Anil Gupta in the presence of Kuldeep Kumar Gupta (CEO), Surinder Mohan (general secretary) and Sangram Singh (treasurer). Also present were Sanjit Kumar (district secretary), Anil Modi (organising secretary), Ankush Chib (associate secretary), Dinesh Gupta and Rakesh Kumar (international player).

Interacting with the players, Anil Gupta wished them success in the upcoming event. Treasurer of the Association, Sangram Singh accompanied the team as manager and Manik Sharma as coach.

The Team: Jehangir Ahmed Dar (captain), Shakeel Ahmed Akhoon, Mohd. Tanveer, Rakesh Kumar, Sikender Lal, Mushtaq Ahmed, Atinderpal Singh, Amandeep Singh, Pawan Kumar, Tazeem Ahmed, Avtar Singh, Rohit Chaudhary.
