JSS outshines in 16th National inter-district Junior Athletics Meet

JAMMU: Students of Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, outperformed in the 16th National inter-district Junior Athletics Meet, organized by Athletics Federation of India at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.

As many as six JSS students perked all the events with diligence and perseverance under the guidance of Rajesh Kumar, sports teacher, which yielded positive results. 

Kashish Khajuria of Class 10th and Sulakshya of class 7th qualified the long jump event; Karthik Sangral of Class 8th and Simrandeep Kaur of Class 9th qualified the shot put event; Chetna Kumari of Class 8th and Simrandeep Kaur of Class 9th qualified 100-metre race(girls); Paras Khajuria of Class 10th qualified Discuss Throw event.

While congratulating and acknowledging the efforts of children and their mentor, Principal cum Vice-Chairperson Rohini Aima asserted, "Efficient sportsperson let their light serve as a beacon that leads others to light their own best light. So we should be clear sighted and recognize our own blindness to overcome it as soon as possible so as to be an inspiration for others."
