ICT Enabled Hybrid Learning Training Program Begins at SMVDU

JAMMU: The Faculty Development Centre (FDC) of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra under the initiative of PMMMNMTT Scheme of MHRD, GoI conducted One-day training program on ‘ICT Enabled Hybrid Learning (MOOCs)' on 19 January 2019.

During the program faculty members working in various universities, colleges and institutions in J&K and other States of the country were participated. Prof. D. Mukhopadhyay, Chief Guest & Coordinator, Faculty Development Centre, SMVDU talked about the paradigm shift taking place in the higher education.

He emphasized that we could not rely solely on the traditional education. Prof. Mukhopadhyay said that the recent trend of Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) is not only adding on to the traditional courses but also enhancing the quality of education.

During the inaugural ceremony the Resource Persons Dr. Kapil Kadam and Dr. Sameer Sahasarbudhae both from IIT, Mumbai; Dr. R. K. Jha, Event Coordinator, FDC; Dr. Amitabh V. Dwivedi, Head School of Languages, Samir Vohra, Technical Officer, FDC & Event Co-coordinator and Kanchan Gupta, Section Officer, FDC were also present.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Samir Vohra.
