Wattal elected president of Gymnastics body

JAMMU: Former Secretary J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC), Kiran Wattal today unanimously made president of the Jammu and Kashmir Gymnastics Association for a term of four years by the members in a meeting held here today.

The meeting was attended by Manager J&K State Sports Council, Ashok Singh Narinder Mohan of the Gymnastics Federation of India as observers. Kuldeep Jamwal, president of Rifle shooting Association of J&K, was observer from J&K Olympic Association (JKOA).

Earlier, in the meeting the previous body of office bearers was dissolved and thereafter Kiran Wattal's name was proposed for the post of president which was unanimously approved by the members.

In the meantime, the newly elected president authorised to name his team as soon as possible. Speaking to the members, Kiran Wattal expressed his thanks to the members.

Prominent among others present were Vijay Saraf, Deepak Handa, Vikas Gupta, RC Chib, Adarash Pal Gupta, Manish Gupta, Ravinder Singh and Ramesh Mahajan.

Among the Gymnastics players present were Manpreet Kour, Kamal Chib, Manvinder, Tejiinder Singh, Ajit Raj and Haji Abdul Qayoom.
