KCSC Junior, Senior teams win in Cricket

JAMMU: Two sides of hosts KC Sports Club (KCSC), Junior and Senior won their respective matches to move into the next round of the KCSC Cup Cricket Tournament underway at KC Public School (KCPS) ground, here today.

In first match of the day, KCSC Juniors made it an absolute win defeating Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy by 10 wickets. Earlier, batting first, Mayank Academy made 102 runs. Areen remained top scorer with 45 runs while Tejas contributed 12. From KCSC Juniors, Vikas Lakhotra and Vicky took three and two wickets respectively.

Later, KCSC Juniors chased the target in 9.5 overs without any loss. Vikas and Himanshu opened the innings and remained unbeaten at 53 and 46 runs respectively. For his all round performance of three wickets and half century, Vikas named man of the match.

Meanwhile, in another scheduled match of the day, KCSC Seniors trounced Danny Cricket Club (DCC) by nine wickets.. Batting first, DCC scored 120 runs with Aman (31), Harinder (24) and Kulvinder (19) being top scorers. From KCSC Seniors, Himanshu and Vijay Dogra took away four wickets each.

In reply, KCSC Seniors chased the target in 12.2 overs for the loss of one wicket. Abhinav Puri, Karan Rajput and Vicky Raina made 48, 31 and 25 runs respectively. From bowling side, Johnson took three wickets.

Himanshu of KCSC Seniors declared man of the match.

Today's matches officiated by the technical penal including Ashok Kumar, Vijay Raina and Puran Raina.
