JSS celebrates Christmas, Gurupurab together

JAMMU: A special assembly was organised in Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, to celebrate Christmas and Gurupurab together.

JSS decided to celebrate the day by following the preaching of Jesus Christ who believed in charity. In this context, Rakesh from 'Global Cancer COncern India', a leading NGO for Cancer patients, delivered a speech motivating the children to donate generously for cancer patients. The school, as such, generated a good amount of donation.

Subsequently, another guest, Emmanual Sidhu presented carols which engrossed the entire school. Apart from this, faculty member Beant Kaur presented ‘Shabads' highlighting the sermons of Sikh Guru.

Sneha, a student, accentuated the eminence of celebrating Christmas and Gurupurab. Ensuing, this, a skit portraying the life of Jesus Christ was presented to revive the feeling of spirituality among all.

The entire programme was taken care by Passion House.

Principal cum Vice Chairperson, Rohini Aima conveyed her wishes on this occasion to all and said that Christmas is the time to reflect on all that has been accomplished and make plans for the future. "It brings new hopes for all and rejuvenates the heart and the soul. Let's make this Christmas a worthy one for those in need of it by adopting the path of charity and forgiveness."
