DC Rajouri flags off ‘Watan ko Jano' tour

RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad today flagged off a group of 11 students mostly orphans and destitute to 15-day ‘Watan-ko-Jano' tour under Youth Exchange Programme.

The tour has been organized by J&K State Rehabilitation Council and Social Welfare Department.

Addressing the students, the DC said that it is a great opportunity for the children to know about rich heritage, culture, and understanding unity in diversity of our great nation.

"Such tours expose children to different cultures and areas of the country and go a long way in their overall personality development," he added.

The District Social welfare officer Mohammad Naseeb said students would visit various historical places and get firsthand experience of their country's rich historical background. The students mostly belong to Narinekatan and Bal Ashram.
