Khalsa Club lifts Hockey trophy

JAMMU: Khalsa Club Gole Gujral clinched the title trophy of the 4th Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Hockey Tournament which was organised by the Kashmir Sikh Sangat under the aegis of Hockey Jammu and Kashmir at K K Hakhu Stadium, here today.

In the final, Khalsa Club defeated MBS Club Simbal Camp 4-2. For his outstanding performance in the title clash, Manpreet Singh of winners Khalsa Club awarded man of the match while best player trophy went to Karanjit Singh of MBS Simbal Camp.

In the final and valedictory function, Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh was chief guest while Inspector General of Police, J P Singh was guest of honour. The winners and runners-up teams awarded with cash prizes presented with title trophies.

General secretary of Hockey J&K, G S Bakshi was coordinator while TP Singh was organising secretary of the tournament.
