MAM College organises poster-making event on World AIDS Day

JAMMU: A poster making competition was held in Govt MAM College on the occasion of World AIDS Day.

The day is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease.

Poster making competition was organized on the topic of "HIV/ AIDS- It's Awareness, Spread And Prevention" by the NSS wing to spread the message among the youth. It was organized by Dr. Sangeeta Sudan (NSS Coordinator) under the leadership of Principal, Prof.(Dr.) Romesh Chander.

Prof.(Dr.) Romesh Chander advised the students to change their attitude towards HIV/ AIDS patients as we can't change their HIV status.

15 NSS volunteers participated in the competition and 1st and 2nd prizes were bagged by Aanchal Singh, B.Sc. 3rd Semester and Stenzin Narboo, B.Sc. 3rd Semester. The jury members were Prof. S.C Sharma HOD Sanskrit and Prof. Shivani Walia.

The entire programme was carried out under the supervision of NSS programme officers Prof. Jasvinder Singh, Prof. Mohd. Ashfaq and Prof. Devinder Kumar Sharma.
