MV International School hosts Swasth Bharat Yatra

JAMMU: Swasth Bharat Yatra which started its journey from Leh with the theme of  ‘Eat Right India Moment' was welcomed by students & staff members of MV International School today.

The team was headed by Dr. AC Mishra, Joint Director FSSAI, Ranjan Kapoor Assistant Commissioner Food Safety Samba and Taraq Ahmed Butt Liaison Officer under the aegis of Commissioner Office of Food Safety J&K.

During the program they interacted with nearly 350 students and shared the theme of the yatra ‘Eat Right India Moment' with the motto of awareness about intake of safe, healthy, fortified, quality and nutritious food for making nation healthier & adulteration free.

The speakers who spot lighted the ‘ Eat India Movement were Dr. A C Mishra, Joint Director FSSAI; Ashish Thakur; Taraq Ahmed Butt, Liaison Officer; K L Dogra, Principal MV International School; Miss, Janvi (VIIC) of MVIS; Abrokin Digra (VIIA) MVIS and Vikas, TGT English of MVIS.
Another 1100 students witnessed the movie show based on the theme. Students and staff members took the theme pledge on the occasion.

They pledge to take the message home that we need to Eat Right and reduce the consumption of Salt, Sugar and Oil. Gourav Abrol, Director MV International School appreciated the initiative of the FSSAI to spread the awareness among the masses and also thanked the Department of Food Safety for choosing MV International School as the venue for the event.
