Bhargav School wins Girls Kho-Kho tourney

JAMMU: Bhargav High School Gadigarh won the inter-school girls under-17 Kho-Kho title outplaying JK Sports Club Gadigarh 10-09 by a wafer thin margin in the final played at Bhargav Public School Gadigarh, near here today.

The event was organised by the Kreeda Bharti Jammu and Kashmir under the overall supervision of president, Shiv Kumar Sharma and secretary Rajesh Chander Vaid.

Former Principal Government Dental College Jammu and Prant Seh Sangh Chalak, Rastriya Swayam Sevek Sangh (RSS), Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Gautam Mengi was the chief guest, who presented the title trophies amidst interaction with the players. Spokesperson BJP, Ashok Kumar Khajuria was guest of honour.

Earlier, the distinguished gathering welcomed by Shiv Kumar Sharma, who is also president of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association and Senior Citizens Welfare Forum Katra, and spoke about the Kreeda Bharti, an organisation for the development of sports in India.

Dr Sanjogita Soodan, vice president of Kreeda Bharti, presented vote of thanks. Sunil Sharma, Dolly Sharma and Angat Singh officiated the match.

Also present were Principal of Bhargav Public School Gadigarh, Vikas Sharma and National hockey umpire, Prithi Pal Singh were among others present.
