Clean sweep by Jammu girls in Inter-Division Handball

JAMMU: Jammu Division made it a clean sweep taking winning finals in all three age groups of under-14, under-17 and under-19 in the inter-divisional girls Handball competition, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), at Sports Stadium, Udhampur.

As per the reports reaching here, Jammu girls defeated their counterparts from Kashmir 14-03 in under-19 and 10-05 in under-17. However, it was close contest in under-14 category which Jammu won 06-05.

In the finals, Director Physical Education, Shashi Kumar Sharma was chief guest, who interacted with the teams. The competition held under the guidance of district officer (DYSS), Udhampur, Sudesh Kumar Chalotra.

Matches were officiated by the technical penal including Manik Nargotra, Ravi Kumar, Vipen Photra, Karun Magotra, Vikrant Balgotra, Sanjeev Kumar, Bandana Sharma and Pooja Sharma.

Among others present were Pawan Kumar (ZPEO Panchari), Deepika Manhas (PEM), Anupama Sharma (PEM), Rakesh Khajuria (PEM), Parshotam Sharma (PEM), Ajay Sharma (PEM), Jagdish Kumar (PET) and Ved Parkash (PET).
