State Billiards, Snooker meet gets underway

JAMMU: President J&K Billiards and Snooker Association, Sanjeev Gupta today declared open the State Billiards and Snooker Championship with Sub-Junior Snooker event starting at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here today.

Sanjeev Gupta was accompanied by vice president, Jaideep Manocha, junior vice president, Nikhil Kapahi, general secretary, Vishal Abrol and treasurer, Sohail Khalid and organising secretary, Ishuk Choudhary. Also present were Ishan Choudhary and Gurjeev Singh.

Earlier, giving details, general secretary, Vishal Abrol informed that the competition shall be held in both Billiards and Snooker as also 6 Red Ball Snooker events in different categories of Sub-junior, Junior and Seniors.

Meanwhile, as per the organisers the last date for entries in Junior Snooker event shall close tomorrow. Earlier, Manager, J&K State Sports Council, Satish Gupta assured all possible help to the Association in successful conduct of the event.
