11 more dengue cases reported, total figure reaches 169

JAMMU: Eleven more dengue cases have been reported from Jammu district in last four days, thereby raising the overall number of dengue cases across J&K to 169.

"So far, 169 cases of dengue have been reported this year across the State out of which 102 alone have been reported from Jammu district", a Health official told Jammu Links News. He said Jammu district is followed by Kathua district with 30 Dengue cases, Samba with 14 cases while four cases each have been reported from Reasi and Udhampur, two each from Poonch, Rajouri and Kashmir, three from other states and five from unknown addresses.

The official said that a total of 1299 patients have been tested for dengue till date out of which 169 cases have been found positive while reports of 1130 are negative. "No death has been reported due to Dengue so far in the State", he added.

He further revealed that out of these 169 dengue patients, 104 were males and 65 females.

"Most of the patients affected with the disease have returned to their homes after successful treatment", he added.
