Army organises Essay and Slogan Writing Competition

KATHUA: As a precursor to ‘Children's Day Celebrations-2018', the Indian Army organised ‘Essay and Slogan Writing Competitions' for school children at Dharamkot in order to commemorate the importance of the day.

A total number of 35 students of nearby schools participated in the competition. The response was overwhelming and the event witnessed active participation by the students. Mohd Yasser, teacher, Middle School, Kai Mohala inaugurated the competition in presence of teachers and local villagers. At the end of the competition prizes were distributed to the winners and it was concluded that such initiatives by the Army are always appreciated and spreads the message of peace and harmony amongst the local populace and the children in particular".

The event was planned keeping in view of the "The Children's Day Celebrations" on 14th Nov for spreading the awareness amongst people towards the proper care and education of children. Children play a vital role in harmonious growth and development of a nation as they are the future traders who will lead the country one day.
