#MeToo: Here is the list of all men who have been accused of harassment

The #MeToo movement in India has called out names of famous men, from all walks of life. It gained steam after Tanushree Dutta once again accused Nana Patekar of harassing her on the sets of a film back in 2008. Here's the ever-increasing list:

1. Nana Patekar

Tanushree Dutta alleged that Nana Patekar tried to harass her on the sets of the film Horn Ok Pleassss back in 2008. Dutta had filed a complaint at the time but no action was taken back then. It was after Dutta recounted the allegations again recently that many women came forward with their #MeToo stories. Talking about the matter, Nana Patekar said, "What should I say? I said 10 years ago. The truth which was 10 years ago remains the same today and will continue to be tomorrow as well."

2. Alok Nath

TV writer and director Vinta Nanda alleged in a Facebook post that Alok Nath sexually assaulted her almost 19 years ago. She also alleged that Alok Nath harassed lead actress Navneet Nishan on the set of the show. Following her accusation, actor Sandhya Mridul has come forward with her account of being harassed by the actor while they were shooting for a telefilm. Actor Deepika Amin also came forward with her allegations against Nath. Another woman who worked on the film Hum Saath Saath Hain accused him of harassment. Alok Nath's lawyer now says that the actor is planning to file a defamation case against Vinta Nanda and Sandhya Mridul.

3. Vikas Bahl

A female employee at Phantom Films alleged that Vikas had sexually harassed her when the crew of Bombay Velvet was in Goa for promotions. She alleged that Vikas insisted on dropping her off to her hotel room and harassed her in an inebriated state. Vikas Bahl has now threatened to file defamation cases against his partners at Phantom Films, Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, as they have spoken about the aforementioned case to the press. The Indian Film and Television Directors' Association has issued a show-cause notice to Vikas Bahl.

Kangana Ranaut said that he would bury his face in her neck, breathe in the smell of her hair. "Even though Vikas was married back in 2014 when we were filming Queen, he bragged about having casual sex with a new partner every other day. I don't judge people and their marriages but you can tell when addiction becomes a sickness."

Hrithik Roshan has said it that is impossible for him to work with a person who is guilty of such misconduct.

4. Rajat Kapoor

Actor-filmmaker Rajat Kapoor has been accused of sexual misconduct by a few women on Twitter. A journalist said that he asked her really uncomfortable questions. Another woman said that almost ten years ago, Rajat used to call her "incessantly" from actor Saurabh Shukla's phone. The woman also added that Rajat Kapoor asked her if she knew any empty houses and then she realised what he had meant. Rajat Kapoor later apologised.

5. Kailash Kher

A journalist came forward with her allegations against Kailash Kher. Her account said that the singer touched her inappropriately when she went to interview him. Even a fan from Kolkata said that Kher had been harassing her. Next, singer Sona Mohapatra also came forward with her allegations where she accused the singer of harassing her on multiple occasions. Kailash Kher issued an apology on October 8.

6. Vairamuthu

Singer Chinmayi recalled that at least on two occasions Vairamuthu made her feel uncomfortable and the singer claimed she was also told that "she won't have a career" should she fail to "cooperate". However, Vairamuthu on Wednesday denied all charges. Other women have also accused Vairamuthu of sexual misconduct.

7. M Mukesh

A casting director alleged that she was harassed by Mukesh in Chennai while working on the Malayalam quiz show Koteeswaran. He called her room multiple times and even shifted his room to the one next to hers. Mukesh claimed he has no memory of working with her.

8. Abhijeet Bhattacharya

A flight attendant alleged that she was sexually harassed by Bollywood singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya in a pub in Kolkata. Abhijeet retaliated, "Most of the fat and ugly girls are blaming and I wasn't born at that time."

9. Varun Gover

In 2001, Varun Grover allegedly harassed a woman during the rehearsal of a play. Grover has denied all charges and put out a statement on Twitter saying "NEVER touched any person inappropriately in life." Director Anurag Kashyap said that he "refuses to believe any allegations about him (Varun)".

10. Raghu Dixit

An aspiring singer, whose story was shared by singer Chinmayi Sripaada, revealed how Raghu Dixit once tried to kiss her in his studio when she came for a song recording. Chinmayi shared another tweet revealing the story of a singer who said Raghu asked her to sit on his lap during one of their meetings at his studio. Raghu Dixit issued an apology.

11. Gaurang Doshi

Bollywood actress Flora Saini, who played the role of the ghost in the recently released Stree with Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead, has come forward to share her story of assault and harassment at the hands of producer Gaurang Doshi. Sharing the ordeal on Facebook, she saluted the survivors of sexual harassment for coming forward and sharing their stories.

She then went on to share about the abuse she suffered at the hands of known producer Gaurang Doshi. She was dating the producer but called it quits when she fractured a jaw in an assault in 2007. Explaining why she didn't complain about it earlier, she says, "I realised me talking about it ,that time, just went against me ,cos he was the powerful one n nobody wanted to believe some girl who was relatively new in the industry, it was his word against mine, and of course, his word mattered.

12. Vivek Agnihotri

Tanushree Dutta also alleged that filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri behaved inappropriately towards her while shooting a 2005 movie. Agnihotri's lawyer denied the "frivolous" claims.

13. Utsav Chakraborty
A Mumbai comedian, Utsav Chakraborty, last week found himself at the centre of a Twitter storm accusing him of sending lewd messages to women and young girls such as requesting topless photos. After an initial dismissal, Chakraborty, who now faces a possible police investigation, tweeted that he has "been the exact monster I've been trying to fight all my life".

14. Chetan Bhagat

Chetan Bhagat, one of India's top-selling authors, got himself embroiled in the movement when a woman shared screenshots of WhatsApp conversations between them. The author then went on to issue an apology on Facebook.

15. Aditi Mittal
Stand-up comedienne Kaneez Surka has accused popular comic Aditi Mittal of forcefully kissing her and putting her "tongue in my mouth" while she was hosting a show in 2016. Aditi has immediately apologised following Surka's revelation and said that it was a "joke". Surka took to Twitter on Wednesday and wrote a long post saying that Mittal, who has been backing women's voices in the wake of the #MeToo movement, forcefully kissed her without her consent during the show in Mumbai's Andheri Base.

16. Kanan Gill

Magali's tweet was quickly picked up by numerous news portals, and reportedly many other women have come forward to share their "uncomfortable" experiences with the comedian. One of India's very favourite comic artists, followers are hoping that his actions weren't intentional.

17. Gursimran Khamba

Another prominent face in India's comedy scene, AIB co-founder Gursimran, better known as Khamba, has also been accused by a friend and ex-girlfriend of inappropriate conduct. Her account dates back to 2015-16. Khamba has since stepped away from the operations of AIB, and issued this statement in the light of the accusations against him.

18. Prashant Jha

The chief of bureau and political editor of Hindustan Times has been named in a case of sexual misconduct by a lawyer and journalist Avantika Mehta, and he has since resigned from his post.

19. Mayank Jain

Jain is the principal correspondent for Business Standard and was accused of sexual misconduct by The Wire health reporter Anoo Bhuyan on Twitter.

20. Sidharth Bhatia

The storm has also caught up to the founding editor of 'The Wire' who was recently accused by multiple women on social media. The establishment has since issued an internal enquiry into the matter.

21. Gautam Adhikari

The founding editor of DNA has also been named by journo Sandhya Menon.

22. K. R. Sreenivas

Times of India's Hyderabad resident editor K.R Sreenivas has also joined the list, with a former employee sharing her account of sexual harassment, which was shared by Journalist Sandhya Menon on her Twitter.

23. MJ Akbar

Union Minister and former senior journalist MJ Akbar, is neck-deep in allegations of sexual harassment of all manner. The twitter storm against Akbar was triggered with senior journalist Priya Ramani naming Akbar and posting an article she had written in 2017 (in which she hadn't named him). At least six other journalists came forward after Ramani's article, accusing Akbar of harassment. Political parties have demanded his resignation.
