33-member Judo contingent leaves for Nationals

JAMMU: A 33-member strong state contingent today left for participation in the Sub-junior National Judo Championship to be held at Una in Himachal Pradesh from September seven to September 13 under the banner of J&K Judo Association.

Before their departure, the selected Jodukas were screened by the Divisional Sports Officer of the J&K State Sports Council, Ravi Singh.

The selected contingent included 15 boys, 14 girls and are accompanied by three coaches and a manager.

The Teams:

GIRLS: Shivanshi, Adn Arashad, Khair-un-Nisa, Qamrain Arshid Mir, Fiza Akhtar, Janees Zafar, Irtiba Javeed, Sheeb a Bilal, Nirali Sharma, Urvashi Rajput, Payal Kashyap, Sakshi Devi, Avni Singh and Tazeem Fayaz.

BOYS: Gourav Sharma, Danish Sajad, Omar Nazir Khan, Arihaant Mahajan, Vipul Yashoyar, Sujal Gupta, Mohd Shanib, Sabir Hussain Arnav Gupta, Rajat Singh, Raghav Singh, Eshaan Saini, Wasim Akram, Nitish Kumar and Pranjal Sharma.

Coaches: Arshi Nad, Shafakat Shafi and Rameshwar Singh. Team Manager: Manish Chatwal.
