JioPhone Monsoon Hungama offer starts July 21: Here's how you can get JioPhone at Rs. 501

The JioPhone Monsoon Hungama offer is all set to kick start from July 21 at 5:01 pm and through this offer, buyers will be able to purchase the JioPhone feature phone at an effective price of Rs. 501. Here's how you can get the JioPhone at Rs. 501.

Reliance Jio announced the JioPhone Monsoon Hungama offer during Reliance Industries 41st Annual General Meeting and with this offer, the company is looking to completely dominate the feature phone segment in India by making the JioPhone available at Just Rs. 501 to interested buyers. While there are over 25 million JioPhone users in India, with this offer, the company is looking to take these numbers to 100 million by the end of this year.

While the JioPhone Monsoon Hungama offer will start at 5:01 pm on July 20, you can get a new JioPhone at just Rs. 501, however, you will have to submit any working feature phone as an exchange to avail the offer. On the other hand, it should be noted that the JioPhone Monsoon Hungama offer is for the JioPhone and not for the JioPhone 2, which the company is going to make available later this year from 15 August.

After exchanging an old feature phone to get a new JioPhone at just Rs. 501 under the JioPhone Monsoon Hungama offer, users will also need to choose either the Rs. 49 or Rs. 153 prepaid recharge plan in order to enjoy all the 4G services on Reliance Jio's network. That being said, the Reliance Jio Rs. 49 plan seems to be the most affordable one out of the two as it comes with 1GB of total 4G data along with unlimited voice calling as well as a validity of 28 days.

The Reliance Jio Rs. 153 prepaid plan, on the other hand, comes with 1.5GB data of daily 4G data along with unlimited voice calls (local, STD and roaming) as well as 100 SMS per day for 28 days. It should be noted that the JioPhone was earlier launched at an effective price of zero rupees, however, buyers needed to Rs. 1,500 upfront and the amount was refundable after a period of three years but you also had to submit your JioPhone in order to avail the offer.

That being said, during the Reliance Industries 41st Annual General Meeting, it was also announced that support for YouTube, Facebook and WhatsApp is also coming to the KaiOS and both old, as well as new JioPhone users, can download the apps from the KaiOS store.
