Sat Sharma hands over Scooty to handicapped from his CDF

JAMMU: Promoting a noble cause to help the Handicapped and disabled, Former Cabinet Minister Sat Sharma (CA) handed over Honda Scooty to Kamal Kishore Verma resident of Bakshi Nagar Near Gita Mandir. Sharma was accompanied by Officials of Social Welfare Department, Local residents of the area and political activists. The scooty was donated by the CDF (Constituency Development Fund) scheme of the MLA costing Rupees Seventy Five Thousand.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharma said that it is the duty of every citizen of our nation to help the handicapped and disabled. He said that this two wheeler will give Kamal Kishore Verma full access to go any where he wants without being dependent on others. Sharma lauded the efforts of the social welfare depatment in helping people with disabilities and making them a functioning member of the society. He also mentioned that there are many centre based schemes of social welfare that are very helpful to such person and they should take full advantage of them.

The residents of the area also hailed the initiative of the MLA by helping the needy in every noble cause.

District Social welfare officer RS Jamwal, Munish Khajuria BJYM Vice President, Sourab Gupta, Dr. Rao, Sameer Vohra, Dr. Deepak Kapoor, Ankush Bakshi, Ram Lal, Amit Bakshi, Rajinder Singh and many other were present on the occasion.
