Delhi Wrestler Kapil Lifts 16th Karua Dangal Title 2018

JAMMU: Kapil of Guru Hanuman Akhara Delhi defeated Vikas of Jhajjar in Haryana in the main bout to lift the 16th Karua Dangal which was organised by Karua Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association at village Karua in district Reasi.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babu Ram was chief guest, who distributed cash prizes worth Rs one lakh among the wrestlers. Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma presided.

The ZEO Reasi Kaka Papa, SHO Reasi Ashwani Kumar Sharma and Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) were guests of honour. Prominent citizens, Rattan Singh, Baldev Singh, Rattan Singh and Hazi Karam Din were also present

Winner of main bout Kapil awarded with cash prize of Rs 15,000 by Babu Ram, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Kaka Ram while runners-up Vikas received Rs 10,000 from Naresh Kumar, Ashwani Kumar Sharma and Ram Krishan.

Members and technical officials who helped for smooth conduct of one day long dangal included Banarsi Sharma, Subash Chander, Satish Kumar, Baldev Raj (Naib-Sarpanch), Sudesh Kumar,

Shankar Verma, Anil Kumar, Balwan Chand, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Deepak Wazir and Pawan Singh.

In all, 38 bouts decided in this dangal. The second main bout won by Roshan Lal Sharma of J&K Police beating Shivam of Delhi while third bout went to Dillar Khan of J&K Police who defeated Anu of Jhajjar in Haryana.
