Hiranagar FC retains Slobber Knocker title

JAMMU: Hirangar Football Club (FC) today retained the ‘Slobber Knocker' title of the monthly Futsol tournament which was organised by Mehta Football Academy at Kathua.

In the final, Hiranagar FC trounced Chandwan Football Club, courtesy superb performance from Rishi Jamwal, who netted four goals. Earlier, 11 teams from district Kathua and one from Jammu, divided into two groups, played in the league round.

Young goalkeeper from Chandwan FC, Akash was adjudged man of the tournament. The champion team awarded with a cash prize of Rs 2000 by chief guest, president Ex-Servicemen League, Capt. Anchal Singh, who was accompanied by president Brick Kiln Association, Sham Narain Mehta, Karamdin Chopra and Raj Kumar.

Meanwhile, the Mehta Football Academy has decided to hold a 14-day camp starting from June 25.
