Pankaj bags gold in India-Nepal Kho-Kho Test Series

JAMMU: Senior player from Jammu and Kashmir, Pankaj Malhotra secured gold medal for J&K when Indian team made a clean sweep in the Kho-Kho Test Series against Nepal recently.

Pankaj Malhotra was part of the Indian team that played five-match Test Series against visiting nation of Nepal. Captain of the J&K team Pankaj played a significant role in shaping India win.

"As matches played in different parts of country ,Nepal tried to fight back in the series but due to commendable performance of the Indian team, we hardly spared any chance to win the games," informed Pankaj.

Back home, Pankaj was welcomed by president of J&K Kho-Kho Association, Manmeet Singh B S Tirthi and general secretary, Harjeet Singh at Green Fields ground, here. The Association applauded Panak's achievements in the presence of Kho-Kho Coaches, Ajay Gupta and Dheeraj Sharma.

The Association president was of the views that Pankaj's achievement shall go a long way in encouraging other young players from the State to excel at the national and international level.
