YCC wins by six wickets in Poonch Cricket

POONCH: The YCC today made it a six wickets win against Bedi Cricket Club in the district Poonch cricket tournament for JKCA Premier Cricket Championship underway at Sports Stadium, here.

Batting first, after winning the toss, Bedi Club scored 106 runs losing all their wickets in 20.3 overs of the 25 overs game. Inderpal remained top scorer with 39-ball 41 runs. From YCC, Aabid clinched three wickets, followed by Raja, Mehoob and Makvi, who shared two each.

In reply, YCC chased the target in just 16.3 overs losing four wickets. Amandeep and Waheed played unbeaten innings of 45 and 18 runs in their respective accounts. From Bedi Club, Dawan claimed two wickets.

REASI: Meanwhile, in a match played at the district level tournament of Reasi, Bhawani Cricket Club registered a big 113 runs win against Pouni Cricket Club at Sports Stadium, here today.

Earlier, Bhawani Cricket Club won the toss and batting first set a target of 227 runs for five wickets in given 25 overs. Arjun (57 off 53 balls), Shiva (55 off 34 balls), Anshuman (54 off 24 balls) played fine innings of half centuries each. From Pouni Club, Mohit and Opinder Singh claimed two wickets each.

Batting second, Pouni Club lost all their wickets for just 114 runs in 24.1 overs thereby lost the match by a big margin. Jugal and Opinder Singh were top scorers with 39 and 23 runs respectively. Rinku and Anshuman bowled brilliant spell taking away three wickets each from Bhawani Club.

RAMBAN: In a scheduled match of Ramban Cricket Tournament, Kabbi XI trounced Rajput Brothers XI by 12 runs. Batting first, Kabbi XI made 139 runs losing all their wickets in 19.3 overs of the 30 overs game, which, in reply, Rajput Brothers could not chase and bowled out for 127 runs in 21.2 overs despite a brilliant knock of 78 runs from Sandeep. Adnan of the winning side was named man of the match.

RAJOURI: In Rajouri district cricket tournament, Youngster XI Rajouri won the game against Super King Dhangri Club by 34 runs at Police Lines ground, here today. Batting first, Youngster XI set a big target of 275 runs for six wickets in 30 overs, courtesy brilliant century from Vikas Singh and 72 runs contributions from Randeep Singh. In reply, Superking Dhangri Club bowled out for 241 runs in 28.2 overs.
