Chandeep Singh wins gold in Asian Para Taekwondo C’ship

JAMMU: The lone Para Asian Gold Medallist from J&K Chandeep Singh and his Coach Atul Pangotra were given a warm welcome by the players of Vishal Academy of Taekwondo (VAOT) and Atul International Taekwondo Academy (AITA) at MA Stadium on Monday.

President J&K Taekwondo Association, D.N Pangotra, General Secretary Jagjit Singh and Organising Secretary Anuj Sharma along with other office bearers were also present on the occasion.

They appreciated the performance of Chandeep Singh, who was earlier a player of skating and under the training and guidance of Coach Atul Pangotra was able to clinch gold and bronze medal in Asian Para Taekwondo Championship, held at Vietnam.

Atul Pangotra appreciated the endurance of Chandeep and said that he is eyeing on world championship and Para Olympics and will try his best to bring up Chandeep for these big events.

Meanwhile President Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) Chetan Anand and General Secretary Prabhat Kumar Sharma congratulated JKTA for the great performance by Chandeep Singh and the overall performance of Team India Coach Atul Pangotra.
