With easy win NCC reaches final

JAMMU: It was an easy win for National Cricket Club (NCC) on way to the final of ongoing JKCA Premier Cricket Championship of district Jammu at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here today.

In this first semifinal, NCC trounced Sehwag Cricket Academy by eight wickets. The Sehwag Academy was represented by the likes of talented young batsman, Shubham Pundir and Rahil Singh. The NCC's victory margin of eight wickets.

Earlier, Sehwag Academy won the toss and decided to bat first bowled out for a small total of 77 runs in 26.2 overs. Shubham Pundir played fine innings of 29 runs while Gourav was other batsman to reach the double figure mark with 15 runs in his account. From NCC, Tanmay Slathia and Vishal Raina shared three wickets while Vijay Dogra and Jatin Wadhwan shared two each.

In reply, NCC overhauled the opponent total making 80 runs in just 11.3 overs losing two wickets. Abd Samad remained highest scorer with 36-ball 46 runs while Aditya Partap contributed unbeaten 20. Rohit Sharma and Rahil Singh shared the wickets from Sehwag Academy.

Later, Vishal Raina named man of the match. Harvinder Singh and JD Singh were umpires in today's match while Rahul Kumar maintained score.
