Muslims help perform last rites of Kashmiri pandit man in Kulgam

KULGAM: Spreading a message of unity and brotherhood, Muslims helped to perform the last rites of a Kashmiri Pandit man in Mirhama village of Kulgam district.

Mirhama is one of the places in Kulgam where a few Pandit families decided to stay back in the turbulent 90s when the majority of Kashmiri Pandits migrated from the region.

As soon as the news about the demise of 52-year-old Raj Nath reached his neighbors, his Muslim neighbors rushed towards his house to console the family. They not only mourned at his demise, but also performed his last rites. The whole incident is a glaring example of brotherhood and harmony among people of different faiths.
