Amco wins by 33 runs in JKCA Jammu tourney

JAMMU: Amco Cricket Club today registered a 33 runs win against Game Changer XI in the ongoing JKCA Premier Cricket Championship at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here.

Earlier, batting first, Amco made 111 runs losing all their wickets in 25.5 overs of the 30 overs a side game. Harry and Sukhdev were main scorers with 19 and 14 runs respectively. From Game Changer XI, Ravinder and Kamal Kishore claimed two wickets each.

In reply, Game Changer XI bundled out for 77 runs in 24.2 overs. Aryan Dogra and Sachin were only batsmen to touch the double figure mark with 18 and 13 runs in their respective accounts. Sukhdev emerged as most successful bowler form Amco Club with three wickets for 13 runs in three overs. Nitish and Rahul shared two wickets each.

Later, Sukhdev of the winning side was declared man of the match. Ashok Singh and Dayal Singh were umpires in today's match while Saleem-ur-Rehman was scorer.

KATHUA: Meanwhile, Stadium XI Kathua registered a huge 210 runs win against RCC Kathua at Sports Stadium, here today. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, Stadium XI set a huge target of 261 runs for four wickets in 30 overs. Arvind played superb innings of 57-ball 85 runs studded with 12 boundaries and one six. Mayank Goutam contributed 57 runs. From RCC Kathua, Vivrant clinched three wickets, followed by Sunil two and Shiv Dutt one.

Chasing a target of seven-run per over, RCC Kathua bowled out cheaply for 50 runs in 9.4 overs, courtesy six wickets haul from Archit (04-01-07-06). Mayank Goutam took two wickets.

Archit was obvious choice for the man of the match title. Rajesh Gupta and Dheeraj Abrol were umpires while Kulbushan Singh maintained the score in today's match.
