JKCA Premier Cricket Championship | Bhatia Club makes it 100 runs win to enter QFs

JAMMU: The little known Bhatia Cricket Club Bishnah today qualified for the next round of quarterfinals after they inflicted a 100 runs defeat on Sher-I-Kashmir Cricket Club in the JKCA Premier Cricket Championship at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.

Sailing on superb batting from Rishab (94 off 68 balls, 14x4, 1x6) and Shivam (76 off 69 balls, 6x4), Bhatia Club set a target of 250 runs for six in allotted 30 overs. From Sher-i-Kashmir Club, Pankaj claimed three wickets and Shahrukh bagged two.

Batting second, Sher-i-Kashmir Club could make 149 runs losing all their wickets in 25.2 overs. Sumit and Rohit were main scorers with 65 and 37 runs respectively. From Bhatia Club, Jaipal secured three wickets, followed by Pankaj, Gitansh and Ashwani, who shared two each.

Later, Rishab was named man of the match. Today's pre-quarterfinal officiated by Ashok Singh and Ravi Manchanda as umpires while Vinod was scorer.

KATHUA: Meanwhile, in district Kathua tournament, underway at Sports Stadium here, Abhishek XI defeated Partap XI by two wickets in under-19 match.

Batting first, Partap XI made 96 runs losing all their wickets in 18.4 overs, which, in reply, Abhishek XI chased in 1.3 overs for the loss of eight wickets.
