KSCC lifts Ist Martyrs' Gold Cup

JAMMU: Krishna Sports Cricket Club (KSCC) today registered seven wickets win against Bhatia Cricket Club (BCC) to lift the 1st Martyrs Gold Cup Cricket Tournament which was organized by the Physical Education Department of the GGM Science College at Hostel ground, here.

The winning team presented with 50,000 cash prize while runners-up, BCC got Rs 25,000 as prize money.

Earlier, BCC won the toss and set a target of 91 runs for KCC in stipulated 20 overs. Ramdyal and Gaurav contributed 25 and 22 runs to the total respectively. Vijay Dogra took four wickets from the KSCC.

In reply, KSCC achieved the target in just 14 overs losing three wickets. Surayansh Raina and Atif scored 48 and 15 runs respectively. Savan and Sohiab took one wicket each from KCC.

Later, Vijay Dogra was named man of the match. Man of the series trophy went to Sohiab Mehmood and Suryansh Raina named best batsman.

In the final and valedictory of the tournament, businessman (owner of A-Horizon Group of Industries) was the chief guest, who presented the title trophies. Surinder Singh Gilli (Chairman Umeed Foundation, J&K and ex-president Yuva Rajput Sabha) was guest of honour.

The final officiated by the technical penal including Ankush Sharma, Shivam Sadotra, Sanju and Vivek Mehra.
