Bhatia Club wins by 13 runs in JKCA tourney

JAMMU: Sailing on fine performance from Monish Singal and Ankaj, Bhatia Club today registered a fine 13 runs win against Raja Warriors Cricket Club in the JKCA Premier Cricket Championship underway at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here.

While Monish played brilliant innings with bat contributing 57-ball 59 runs while Ankaj clinched three wickets.

Earlier, batting first, Bhatia Club set a target of 175 runs losing all their wickets in 26.4 overs. Monish Singal remained highest scorer with 59 runs while Sachin and Shubham contributed 42 and 13 runs respectively. From Raja Warriors, Ajaz and Rohit shared three wickets each.

In reply, Raja Warriors could make 161 runs losing nine wickets in given 30 overs. Adil hit fine half century with 40-ball 52 runs. Vikas also played well contributing 34-ball 43 runs. Ankaj emerged as most successful bowler with three for 23 in six overs. Ramnik and Bodh Raj shared two each.

For his 59 runs innings, Monish ws declared man of the match. Amit Gupta and Sadiq Hussain Malik were umpires in today's match while Ravi Manchanda maintained the score.
