Thakur again elected JKFA president

SRINAGAR: Zameer Thakur has again been elected president of the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) during its special and second meeting of Congress of General Council, here today.

Another senior member of the Association, Prof BA Sharma has been made new general secretary replacing many time office bearer, S A Hameed. Being senior most office bearer, S A Hameed has been elected as Executive Chief.

Surinder Singh Bunty, who was earlier holding the post of vice president (Jammu zone), has been elevated has unanimously elected new treasurer. Earlier, the post of treasurer was with another Jammu man and veteran footballer, R K Kohli, who expired recently.

In addition, five vice presidents, two joint secretaries and assistant general secretary were also named by the General Council. Chairmen for various committees and Executive Committee members were also elected.
