VAJK felicitates new JKOA office bearers

JAMMU: Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir (VAJK) felicitated newly elected president, Dushyant Sharma and treasurer, Sidharth Daluja of J&K Olympic Association (JKOA) here.

Speaking on the occasion, general secretary of JKOA, Prof. Ashotosh Sharma recalled his 40 years of association and wished that newly elected team of office bearers would leave no stone unturned in achieving new heights in sports arena of the J&K.

Newly elected president, Dushyant Sharma assured all affiliated units of JKOA for every possible help in the promotion of sports.

Treasurer JKOA, Sidharth Daluja endorsed identical views and assured the members that he would strive hard in conducting the day-to-day activities of the association in more transparent and effective manner with blessings and guidance of all seniors members.

The VAJK office bearers also expressed the hope that the new team of JKOA would give new directions for promotion of sports in J&K State in future.

Among the dignitaries present were patron-in-chief VAJK and vice president of JKOA, Raj Daluja; president Bar Association of J&K High Court, B.S Slathia; president Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Rakesh Gupta; president J&K Rifle Association, Kuldeep Singh Jamwal; general secretary J&K Judo Association, Vikas Gupta; general secretary of J&K Boxing Association, Rajan Sharma; secretary J&K Cycling Association, S.S Gill; treasurer Kho-Kho Federation of India, B.S Tirthi; Kuldeep Gupta; Sunil Sharma; Yudhvir Singh; president J&K Athletics Association, Sunil Mahajan; president J&K Kho-Kho Association, Manmeet Singh; president J&K Wushu Association, Vijay Saraf and general secretary J&K Wrestling Association, Ajay Vaid.

Also present were office bearers of VAJK, Kuldip Magotra (CEO); H.S Gill (executive vice president); V.K Magotra (general secretary), RC Sharma (treasurer), Mohd Tariq (chairman Shaheed Manjeet Singh Volleyball Club Pooch) and Akbar Ali (executive member) and Anchal Singh.
