Dushyant made president, Sidharth treasurer of JKOA

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association (JKOA), in its Annual General Body meeting held here today elected veteran wrestler and Superintendent of Police (SP), Dushyant Sharma as new president.

President of the J&K Wrestling Association, Dushyant has replaced DD Magotra, who left for his heavenly abode recently, to the top post.

Dushant is nine time National champion and an international medallist. His (Dushyant) name was proposed by Capt. Murti Gupta of J&K Lawn Tennis Association and second by Kiran Wattal of J&K Badminton Association and Kuldip Singh Jamwal of J&K Rifle Association.

Young president of the Volleyball Association of J&K, Sidharth Daluja has been given the responsibilities of the post of Treasurer. Sidharth's name proposed by Deepak Handa of J&K Yoga Association and Manmeet Singh of J&K Kho-Kho Association. Earlier, the post of Treasurer was with Dushyant Sharma.

Meanwhile, as per a handout issued here today, the meeting presided by the general secretary of the JKOA, Prof. Ashutosh Sharma. Harbhajan Singh, president of Weightlifting Association and Vijay Saraf, vice president of JKOA were the returning officers.
