CWG 2018: 15-year-old Anish Bhanwala wins gold in 25m Rapid Fire Pistol, becomes youngest Indian medallist

GOLD COAST: Medal rush, or in fact gold rush for India has taken a step forward today morning as 15-year-old Anish Bhanwala shot to gold medal in men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Positions by shooting a record 30 points.

Anish's gold makes him the youngest Indian medallist at the Games. This was India's second gold on day 9 of Commonwealth Games 2018 at Gold Coast with Tejaswinin Sawant bagging the top honour in women's Rifle shooting, earlier.

India's gold tally reaches 16, which is one more than the nation's total achieved in Glasgow in 2014.
