State Korfball team bags bronze

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Korfball team brought laurels to the State winning bronze medal in the Senior National Championship held at Nagpur in Maharashtra.

In the hardliner game for the third place, J&K defeated Maharashtra 8-5 to secure bronze. The state team was led by Irfan Choudhary in this three-day championship.

The prizes were given away to the first three position holder teams by president of Korfball Federation of India, Manouj Singh Chohan and general secretary, K K Verma, the reports reaching informed.

Meanwhile, president of J&K Korfball Association congratulated the team for winning the bronze.
