Shweta Thakur win silver in National Judo

JAMMU: International player, Shweta Thakur won silver medal for Jammu and Kashmir in the just concluded three-day Senior national Judo Championship at Gymnasium Hall of the University of Jammu, here.

She contested in the 70 kg weight category and lost in the final. Around 450 Judokas from all over the country took part in this competition which was organised by J&K Judo Association.

In the valedictory of the event, former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah was chief guest, who presented medals to the winners. The chief guest also felicitated, on behalf of the Association, seven Olympians.
