1. Jammu and Kashmir Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu, one of the architects of the PDP-BJP alliance in the state, was on Monday unceremoniously removed from the council of ministers by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti over his remarks that the Kashmir issue was not a political one.

2. The Jammu and Kashmir BJP on Monday alleged that people with "special motive" were indulging in massive "land grabbing" of forest and revenue land to change the demography of the Jammu region and make it vulnerable to anti-national forces.
