SRINAGAR: A fresh Western Disturbance (WD) is likely to touch the region on Monday which could cause widespread rain on March 13 and 14 in Jammu and Kashmir, where the day remained pleasant, while minimum temperature was below normal.

A Met department spokesman said on Saturday evening that the weather will remain dry during the next 24 hours in Jammu and Kashmir.

However, a fresh WD, originating in Arabian sea and entering the region via Afghanistan and Pakistan, is likely to touch Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, when there could be isolated rain or snow in Kashmir and Jammu while weather will remain dry in Ladakh.

He said on March 13, there could be widespread rain or snow in the Kashmir valley and scattered and isolated rain or snow in Jammu and Ladakh respectively.
