Kuldeep nominated Director Volleyball KISG

JAMMU: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Volleyball Association of J&K and associate secretary of Volleyball Federation of India (VFI), Kuldip Magotra has been nominated as competition Director of Volleyball Event in Khelo India School Games (KISG), New delhi-2018.

Kuldeep's nomination was made on the recommendation of VFI considering his experience and expertise in holding major events.

The ‘Khelo India', first of its kind National programme of Sports being organised by the Union Ministry of youth Affairs and Sports involving 16 sports disciplines in under-17 Age group (Boys and Girls) to be held from January 31 to February eight at New Delhi.

Other disciplines are Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Judo, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Shooting, Swimming, Volleyball, Weightlifting and Wrestling.

Under this programme cash incentives to talent youth for a period eight years shall be given. This competition will be one of major platforms for talent identification. The Prime Minister, Narinder Modi will formally inaugurate this National event at IG Stadium New Delhi.

In Volleyball event, 16 teams, including eight in girls section, shall participate.

Top four teams (Boys and Girls) from 63rd SGFI National School Games; top two (Boys and Girls) to be nominated by VFI; winner (boys and girls) from host state; wild card entry.
