SCC, Nagorta Club win ties in KCSC Cup

JAMMU: Surinder Cricket Club (SCC) and Nagrota XI emerged winners in today's scheduled matches of the ongoing KC Sports Club (KCSC) Cup Cricket Tournament at KC Public School ground, here.

In the first match, SCC trounced Lakhotra Club by a huge margin of 104 runs. Batting first, SCC set a target of 209 runs. Vijay, Rajesh and Vikas were main contributors with 69, 41 and 25 runs respectively. From Lakhotra Club, Mustafa and Sandeep shared two wickets.

Later, Lakhotra Club could make 94 runs to lose the tie by a big margin. Shivam (12) and Sachin (10) were only batsmen to touch the double figure mark. Rajesh Khatri bowled deadly spell taking away five wickets while Provin Bhat and Raju shared two wickets each. For his five-wicket haul, Rajesh was named man of the match.

Meanwhile, in another match, Nagrota XI trounced Doctor Cricket Club (DCC) by 26 runs. Batting first, Nagrota set a target of 130 runs. Raghu, Vikas and Raj made 32, 32 and 17 runs respectively. From Doctor Club, Dr. Ankush Sadotra took three crucial wickets while Vishal bagged two.

In reply, Doctor Club bundled out for 104 runs. Rahul (24), Aksahdeep (15) and Shouria (16) were main scorers. From Nagrota XI, Bunty claimed three wickets, followed by Ranjeet and Jatinder, who shared apiece each.
