Kootah Royals, FC United Kathua win in Football

JAMMU: Kootah Royals Football Club (FC) and Football Club (FC) United Kathua won their respective league ties in the ongoing Hiranagar Invitational Gold Cup Football Tournament at Hiranagar Stadium, here today.

Earlier, Kootah Royals blanked Dhanni Football Club (FC) 6-0 thereby making it a one-sided affair. In other match of the day, Dhanni FC went down fighting against FC United Kathua 0-2 in an exciting match.

In one of the best matches of Hiranagar Invitational Gold Cup Football Tournament, Thalora Mandi FC held State Football Academy, Kathua to a 2-2 draw to deprive them of quarter final qualification today. SFA took the lead twice in first and second half only to see Thalora Mandi fight back and come back strong to equalise each time.

Meanwhile in first match Flote FC downed Jesmergarh Kings FC 14-0 in a one sided contest.

Advocate Rakesh, senior BJP leader, Ranjeet Singh, Karan, Kulbir Singh and JK Bank Manager, Hiranagar, Yuvraj Singh Sambyal were among those prominent present.

The matches officiated by the technical penal comprising Dinesh Verna, Lalit Jamwal, Aniket Singh, Ashwani Jasrotia, Rohit Singh, Varinder Singh and Rakesh Singh.
