Dr Nirmal singh , Rahul Sahai Grace the final CII T-20 Corporate Cricket League

JAMMU: Magnificent 111 runs off just 59 balls by Puneet Kumar and 59 runs by Atul Sharma guided Simula XI to register convincing win over HDFC Bank in the Final match of ongoing CII T-20 Corporate Cricket League, being played at KC Sports Club Ground, here today.

The CII T-20 Corporate Cricket League is being organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Batting first, Simula XI scored 200 runs with the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Puneet was the top scorer for Simula XI with 111 runs, hitting 9 fours and 8 massive Sixers while Atul contributed scored 59 runs. For HDFC Bank, Khalid Mehraj, Adnan and Waseem took 1 wickets each.

HDFC bank were all out at a score of 118 and lost the match by 82 runs. Abhinav, Ritik and Vikram managed to take 2 wicket each.

Puneet Kumar was declared man of the match, Man of the series and best batsman for his overall performance.

On the valedictory function, Dr Nirmal Singh, Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister, Rahul Sahai, Chairman CII J&K State Council and Rajesh Sharma, Director SRA foods Pvt ltd. presented the trophies to winning and runner up team. Dr Nirmal Singh applauded the efforts of CII and assured full support to any initiative that involves Youth and Sports.

Mr Rahul Sahai specially thanked HDFC Bank, Media, Audi Jammu and KC Sports club for their support in organizing the CII Corporate Cricket Tournament. CII, keeping up with its promise to promote sports in J&K is organizing the first edition of CII Corporate Cricket League. 10 teams from Corporate Sector, Banks and Government Departments are competing for the title trophy, said Mr Rahul Sahai, Chairman CII J&K State Council.
