NPP to begin chain hunger strike from Jan 15

UDHAMPUR: To highlight the grievances of unemployed educated youth National Panthers Party would begin hunger strike from January 15, 2018 against the callous and discriminatory attitude of the coalition government in employment sector. This was disclosed by ex-MLA and NPP President Balwant Singh Mankotia on Saturday.

Addressing a press conference at party office Udhampur, Mankotia blamed that government is denying due share of employment to the youth of Jammu region. After the formation of BJP-PDP Coalition Govt in State, only 10 percent share has been given to educated youth of Jammu while 90 percent employment being provided to youth of Kashmir.

Coalition government not only deprived the youth of Jammu region in employment but also snatching the due rights by implementing the draconian SRO-202 and SRO-520 without considering their contribution in implementation of central or state schemes at ground level, regretted Mankotia.

Mankotia informed that on Monday, January 15, educated youth of Reasi District would participate in the chain hunger strike while youth from Udhampur on Jan 16, Jan 17 Kathua, Jan 19 Samba, Jan 20 Ramban, Jan 21 Rajouri, Jan 22 Doda, Jan 23 Kishtwar and on January 24, youth of Poonch will sit on hunger strike.
