Jammu boy, Ankit Sharma makes it to the finals of India's most coveted male pageant Mr. India 2017

Ankit Sharma, the man who will not complain but resolve, and when he cannot he will learn to do so as he is not afraid to try. He strives to be strong and independent, very patient but equally determined who believes in karma and will wait for the right moment before impulsively jumping on to anything. Ankit waited for the right time to participate in India's most coveted male pageant and have made it to top 16 of Peter England Mr. India 2017. Mr India World is a national beauty pageant that selects its winner to compete in Mister World pageant. The pageant is biennial started in 2014. Since 2014 The Times Group owns this franchise. It also holds the franchise for Miss World India and Miss Universe India Miss Diva in India.

The difference between those who succeed and those who don't comes down to knowing how to do something rather than thinking on doing something about it. Born and brought up in Jammu, Ankit finished his schooling here and then went on to pursue business administration in Punjab. After completing MBA, he joined Havells India Ltd at a managerial level. Having achieved the security in financial and educational grounds, he wanted to give modelling a shot as he was always fascinated by the same and he went on to participate in the pageant.

Ankit finds serenity in reading and watching Ted Talks. He is a strong believer of doing things persistently as he firmly believes that talent will get you in the door, but it is hard work and character that will keep you in the room.

Ankit is one of the most admired contestants at Peter England Mr. India 2017 pageant and is popular not only with the younger lot but also holds a very special place amongst the elderly and the feelings are very much mutual. Ankit stole the spot light because of his charm at the recent fund raising event at the elderly home in Mumbai. Ankit not only possesses a perfectly sculpted physique but a proportionately warm heart too.

Ankit draws his inspiration from stories and documentaries and wants to open a grooming school for underprivileged kids and train them to be a better version of themselves. He also wants to take Fbb Miss India runners up Sana Dua on a date who also belongs to Jammu. Ankit feels that love is the most beautiful feeling in the world and finds his love for food in Tandoori Chicken.

Ankit is strongly moved by the conditions of elderly people and have seen them suffer due to poor health and living conditions. He is also extending all his support and efforts in helping all the elderly in terms of their health and living conditions with JJ Dharamshala campaign which is also the pageant's co-partner NGO in crowdfunding, JJ Dharamshala is a caring, considerate and comforting home for the lonely elders of our society in this cruel and indifferent world. JJ Dharamshala aim is to advocate, care, teach and serve them with compassion, kindness and respect for bringing happiness in their lives. It is an independent organization, with no religious, political or governmental affiliations.
