GCW Gandhi Nagar organises 20 days Youth Cultural workshop

JAMMU: Twenty Days Youth Cultural workshop organized by Govt. P.G. College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu in collaboration with Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, New Delhi culminated in the  College Auditorium.

On this occasion Kavinder Gupta, Hon’ble Speaker, J&K State Legislative Assembly was the chief guest. Bali Bhagat, Hon’ble Minister for Health and Medical Education, Jenab Zulfikar Ali, Hon’ble Minister for State for Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Information Department, J&K. Asiea Naqash, Hon’ble Minister of State for Urban Development, Social Welfare, Health and Medical Education, J&K also graced the occasion. Prof. Anju Bhasin, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Cluster University, Jammu was the Guest of Honour. 

Prof. Kaushal Smotra, Principal of the College was also present. The programme began by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries. Prof. Aekta Gupta, Incharge of the wokshop, Convenor Cultural Committee and Dean Students Welfare welcomed the guests  and apprised them about the various activities undertaken during 20 days cultural workshop. She also highlighted the importance of knowing the cultural diversity of the state to understand the cultural plurality and vast cultural heritage. 

A cultural programme was also showcased on Kashmiri and Dogri Folk dances. Students of Rose Public School, D.B.N School and Govt. P.G. College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu also participated in this mega cultural event. The entire programme was coordinated by Gulzar Ahmed Bhat and valedictory function was coordinated by Bhavya, Kaneez and Mantasha, Dr. Sudhanshu Sharma,  Dr.  Vandana, Dr.  Surjit Kour, Prof. Pooja Sharma, Prof. Varsha Kapoor, Dr.  Romika Sudan were present. Dr. Nidhi Suri presented formal vote of thanks.
