MAM College Students visit Ved Mandir to celebrate Children day

JAMMU: National Service Scheme (NSS) wing of Govt. MAM College Jammu visited Ved Mandir Bal Niketan Anath Ashram Amphalla Jammu to celebrate Children Day, on the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the First Prime Minister of Independent India and known across the nation for his warm affection for children. Nehru was very fastidious regarding the welfare of Indian youth, particularly school going children whose raw minds can be chiseled readily.


Prof. (Dr.) Ajeet Angral Principal  of Govt. MAM College interacted with the students and lauded the efforts of the authorities running Ved Mandir (Bal Niketan) as they are doing yeoman's service to the society. He emphasized upon inculcation of moral and ethical values in the young innocent Children residing in the Ashram so that they become responsible citizens of tomorrow and are assets to the nation.

NSS programme officers Dr. Sangeets Sudan and Prof. Jaswinder Singh motivated and encouraged them to make optimal use of their time, energy and resources. The NSS volunteers who spoke on the occasion were Geetanjali, Ayushika, Palak and the inmates reciprocated in kind. The entire was compared by Sharik and Gourav and the occasion was graced by Subash Pal Gupta (Secretary), Amita Sharma (Joint Secretary), Alok Sharma (Social Activists) and Prof. Romesh Kumar Gupta HOD  Statistics.
