Jammu Sanskriti School organises workshop on e-waste

JAMMU: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu in collaboration with Karo Sambhav organised a workshop in school premises on e-waste awareness, in association with Desert Resource centre.

Rajesh Sharma, Joint Commissioner Municipal coorporation, Jammu was the Chief guest. He was very much impressed with the venture and was eager to know about the drive.

Various Schools from Jammu and Poonch participated in the workshop. The interactive session on e-waste awareness, it's disposal, recycling and ways to collaborate and educate students on environmental hazards of e-waste.

Special curriculum was given to the teachers for the implementation. The programme enables development of 21st century skills of collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, communication, ICT competencies and real world problems solving, by deploying contemporary pedagogical practices in the classroom. The designed curriculum enables for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Digital India and Smart cities.

The programme consists of three phases divided over a period of Four months.

The workshop was with a new concept and ensured for the development of the society. Everyone in the society must be aware about e -waste and jointly work on the programme.
