Senior journalist and activist Gauri Lankesh, the editor of ' Gauri Lankesh Patrike' a weekly Kannada tabloid, was shot dead recently by unidentified assailants who opened fire at her outside her residence in Bangalore. The journalist was killed for her strong opinion and the case investigation is still on. Twitterati condemned the killing with hash tag #IAmGauri and extended their condolences to her family and journalist fraternity whereas some of them used hashtag #GauriBulletProbe as an attempt to push investigation team for speeding up the enquiry.
