JAMMU: Nimisha Shukla of Jodhamal Public School Jammu made a mark in the International UGC Conference held at Sahara Star Hotel Mumbai where she was a part of the Youth Ministry comprising of 7 students Pan India .

Nimisha was shortlisted out of lakhs of students across India to be a part of the Youth Conference as the selection procedure was rigorous with written rounds and multiple skype sessions and telephonic interview rounds. It was a privilege for Jammu to have one of their student in this International Conference in the Youth Ministry to be a member of the penal discussion on "Should Schools introduce the internships and make it mandatory in the school curriculum?

Nimisha was against the topic as she felt that internship is important for the students to gain confidence but at the same time it cannot be introduced in to the curriculum as the students are already burdened with the Academic and Co Curricular Curriculum in most of the schools and they will find it difficult to do the intern if it is made mandatory.

However if it is optional the students who can travel extra miles during the vacations can go in for it. 7 youth ministry members who were selected for this were from elite schools of India and each one was representing a different state and Copied from Jammu links news different Board. All students did very well and the Youth Ministry was judged by the panel who declared Nimisha Shukla at the second position and she was awarded by Prof. V. Ramgopal Rao the Director of IIT New Delhi.

Nimisha is very happy since she was felicitated in the school assembly by Principal Trilok Singh Bist& Trustee NandanKuthiala . All wished her for a better future and better board result since she has the acumen like many others at Jodhamal to be the CBSE Topper this year.
